Piedmont Middle School continues to promote the need for our students to be Upstanders. You may ask, what is an upstander? An upstander is an individual who witnesses an action or behavior of another individual, and rather than remaining a passive observer, this person speaks up to reinforce the action when it is positive or encourages change when it is negative.
