PUSD Wellness Center
The Wellness Center offers free, confidential counseling on-campus and connects students and families to vital community resources. We provide a range of resources to support students and families in meeting the challenges of adolescence through prevention, early-intervention and education.
Students are connected to a Wellness Center clinician through a referral system at the middle school. Contact the PMS counselors to discuss the referral process. Wellness Center supports students through a brief therapy model, which will end after 8-12 weeks.
Common issues addressed during scheduled sessions include:
- Academic Stress
- Social-Emotional Stress
- Parent/Child Communication
- Peer Relationships
- Sexual Orientation/Gender Questions
- Anxiety and Depression
- Grief and Loss
- Substance Use/Abuse
- Resiliency and Self-Advocacy
- Offsite Resources and Referrals
The Wellness Center is also open everyday at lunch throughout the 23-24 school year for drop-in support.
